A shocking incident has rocked the western coast of Tenerife, a beautiful island in the Canary Islands. Tragically, four individuals were swept into the sea by a massive wave near Los Gigantes, resulting in fatalities. Efforts continue to find one person who remains unaccounted for.

The calamity unfolded just after 4 PM at one of the popular natural pools in Los Gigantes, situated within the municipality of Santiago del Teide. At the time, many visitors were enjoying the area, both on the rocks and in the water, when an unexpected and powerful wave crashed over them, pulling several into the deep waters.

Reports from the emergency services on the Canary Islands indicate that multiple people were carried away by the surging waves. News outlets, including Diario de Avisos, confirmed that some of those affected were foreign tourists. A search and rescue helicopter managed to recover one person alive, while another was retrieved but sadly pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

As of the latest updates, two men and one woman were initially reported to have lost their lives – one of the men aged 35, and the woman aged 55. Later, another woman was found and rushed to the hospital for emergency care but succumbed to her injuries. As of now, it remains unclear whether any Germans were among the victims.
