Before her hospitalization, Princess Bha earned degrees in law and international relations, worked with the United Nations and served as Thailand’s ambassador to Austria. She was noted for advocating for the rights of incarcerated women and promoting the U.N.’s 2010 "Bangkok Rules."

Succession and family

Once considered a possible successor to the throne, the princess has never married and has no children.
