After the ceremony they stepped into royal life: appearances at Buckingham Palace, Trooping the Color and Royal Ascot, charity events and a 16-day tour to Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand. It was during that trip they revealed they were expecting their first child.
Their son, Archie, arrived on May 6, 2019; daughter Lilibet followed on June 4, 2021. The couple faced intense media scrutiny and later shared that Meghan struggled with her mental health; Harry provided support. In Jan 2020 they announced plans to step back as senior royals and by March had relocated to California, building a life they now share with their children.
