A big night and new music ahead

Earlier that evening Johnson also won Male Artist of the Year. He released the album Leather in 2023 and is set to drop his tenth studio album, Banks of the Trinity, on June 26. Last year his song "The Fall" hit high on country charts, and he appeared on a January remix of Brandon Lake's "When a Cowboy Prays."

Combs competed in the Entertainer category alongside nominees including Megan Moroney, Lainey Wilson, Chris Stapleton, Jelly Roll and Morgan Wallen. Shania Twain hosted the 61st ACM Awards, which featured performances from Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, Little Big Town, Riley Green and others and aired live on Prime Video.
